Signing in on the app
Use the same email and password as the officer portal, and do the first sign-in where you have a connection.

Before you start
The email address and password you use for the officer portal, and a connection for this first sign-in.
Steps
- 1 Open GIA Field. It opens on the Sign In card.
- 2 Type your work email into Email.
- 3 Type your officer portal password into Password. Select Show beside the box to check what you have typed, and Hide to cover it again.
- 4 Select Sign In.
- 5 Give it a few seconds. On this first sign-in the app copies your assigned growers, the activity topics, the survey questions and your visits onto the phone.
What you'll see
You land on Home, greeted by name under today's date, with your job title and the current reporting period beneath, and your figures already filled in. The app stays signed in after that, so next time you open it and start work without typing anything.
- "Incorrect email or password." — the app uses your officer portal details, so if the password was changed on the website, use the new one here.
- "This account is not active." — your administrator needs to activate your account.
- You get in but every figure reads zero and no growers are listed — the sign-in did not reach the platform. Move to where you have signal and open the app again.
Important
A first sign-in needs a connection. Sign in before you set off, not at the nursery gate — with no signal there is nothing on the phone yet to log a visit against.
Good to know
The sign-in screen reads "Forgot password? Use the web portal" — that is a reminder, not a link. Passwords are handled in the officer portal, where you can change your own from My Profile; if you are locked out, your administrator sets a new one for you.
