Where to find it

GIA Field Visits

The Visits tab holds both halves of your round. It opens on Past Visits, and Upcoming beside it carries a count of everything you have planned.

Steps

  1. 1 Select Visits. Past Visits lists what you have logged, newest first.
  2. 2 Narrow the list with the three chips: All, Last 7 days or This month.
  3. 3 Select a row to open it. You see the notes you wrote and every topic you recorded, and Send Survey if the grower has not answered one for that visit yet.
  4. 4 Select Upcoming for what is planned. A month calendar sits under the Plan a Visit button, with a dot on every day that has something on it — green for Scheduled, pale for Completed.
  5. 5 Move between months with the arrows either side of the month name.
  6. 6 Select a day carrying a dot to open a small panel listing that day's visits with their status and topics. The cross closes it again.
  7. 7 Open an upcoming card for its three actions: Log this visit, Edit and Cancel.

What you'll see

A past row shows the business, the date and how long ago it was, with Survey sent or Pending beside it. An upcoming row shows Scheduled and how many days away it is. With nothing to show you get "No visits found" on Past Visits and "No upcoming visits planned" on Upcoming.

Log this visit
The first action on a planned visit, for the day you actually make it. The business and the date are locked to what was planned, the topics come through already ticked, and you add or change topics, an attendee count where one applies, and notes before selecting Confirm visit. The visit then moves from Upcoming across to Past Visits.
Edit
Reopens the planning screen for a visit that has not happened yet, so you can move the date or change the topics and notes.
Cancel
Calls a planned visit off, after an on-screen check. A cancelled visit never counts towards the program's visit numbers.
Send Survey
Appears on a past visit with no survey against it yet. It opens the same eight questions you would have run at the gate.
In Progress
Shown instead of Survey sent or Pending on a past visit you logged from the Log tab, while that visit is still waiting to go up from the phone. It is not a status the platform holds, and it clears itself once the visit syncs. A visit you completed with Log this visit does not carry the chip — it reads Pending or Survey sent straight away, even while it is still waiting — so Pending Upload on Home, not this chip, is the list of everything still on the phone.

Important

A visit already logged has no Edit or Cancel on the phone — those three actions only ever appear on a planned visit. If a logged visit is wrong, it can only be corrected by the officer who logged it, in the officer web portal, and only while the reporting period the visit falls in is still the active one. Nobody else can correct it for you, so it is worth checking the topics and any head count before you confirm.

Good to know

Because Log this visit keeps the planned date, a visit you planned for Tuesday and log on Tuesday evening is still recorded as Tuesday. A visit logged from the Log tab instead is always dated the day you log it.
